COMMENCING EIGHT TRAINING WORKSHOPS ON HEALTHY AND ACTIVE AGING AT NEW BARRACKPORE (North 24 Paraganas,West Bengal)

Objective:

Implement WHO active aging framework policy to empower and create opportunities for community dwelling older persons to participate in their health and social issues.

Course details:

•Communication skills and capacity building, concept of healthy and active ageing.
•First aid, basic life support, sanitation/hand hygiene.
•Introduction to Diabetes, Hypertension, Arthritis, Neurodegenerative diseases, Cancer, Metabolic diseases, CVD, CVA.
•Exercises and Diet Modifications  in prevention of non communicable disease.
•Accidents at home, burns, falls, medication adherence/error, regarding visits to healthcare providers. Palliative and long term care
•Stress, anxiety in caregivers, social isolation and elder abuse
•Rights of elders in India .
•Training on need assessment and toolkit for Active Ageing.

Date: 1st April 2017 to 20th May 2017 

Time: 5.30pm to 7pm(only on Saturdays)

Venue: Municipality Market,Anubhav Biye Bari, New Barrackpore,24 Paraganas,West Bengal, India

Participant Eligibility: Male /Female more than 40 years of age, Class 12th Pass
